SCRANTON, PA / ACCESS Newswire / January 16, 2025 / Locally-owned Loop Internet is proud to announce they have begun another expansion of its high-speed fiber internet network to Forty Fort, Swoyersville, Luzerne, Drums, Butler Township, Sugarloaf, Conyngham, Hazle Township, Freeland, and Nanticoke. Construction has already started in all of these areas. This expansion marks another step in Loop's mission to deliver reliable, ultra-fast internet to Northeastern Pennsylvania, providing symmetrical speeds up to 10 gigabits per second-faster than any other provider in the area.
Loop's fiber internet is designed to meet the demands of modern businesses and households, supporting remote work, video conferencing, streaming, and other data-intensive applications with a stable and uninterrupted connection. This build-out reinforces Loop's commitment to strengthening the region's connectivity infrastructure. Loop recently expanded their service to Scranton and Mountain Top and have been experiencing high demand.
"We're thrilled to bring the fastest fiber internet to these communities," said Jason Wasmanski, General Manager of Loop. "As a local company, we're investing in the future of Northeastern Pennsylvania by providing the speeds and reliability that residents and businesses need to thrive."
Service is expected to launch in 2025 in these additional areas. Service will become available throughout 2025 as our construction crews build our network in these new areas. Individuals who want to receive updates on the service can enter their address and contact information at loopinternet.com to receive updates as they become available. These new networks will provide a cutting-edge solution for areas that have long struggled with limited options and outdated infrastructure.
Loop's investment in the region spans millions of dollars, demonstrating its dedication to revitalizing local infrastructure and fostering economic growth. Unlike legacy providers, Loop builds its networks from the ground up, ensuring robust, resilient, and future-ready connections.
"Fiber internet is the backbone of modern connectivity," explained Wasmanski. "Our network uses cutting-edge technology to transmit data as light signals, allowing for faster speeds, greater reliability, and minimal interference. With Loop, communities can count on seamless internet for years to come."
Loop's founder and CEO, Chris Hacken, a Mountain Top native, remains actively involved in the company's operations. Hacken is often seen personally working on network construction and connecting customers - a hands-on dedication that sets Loop apart from larger providers.
"As a local business, we're not just building a network; we're building a stronger, more connected community," Hacken added. "It's exciting to see the enthusiasm from residents and businesses as we bring fiber to their doorsteps."
